Vacation Bible School 2018!
Three more months till Vacation Bible school! Shipwreck 2018...Rescued by Jesus is looking for a quite a few good men, women and teens to help with this year's VBS. Register yourself to volunteer on our VBS website here

It is also not to early to register your child aged 4 years through 5th graders. The first 50 kids to register on the website by May 1st, will receive a Shipwreck water bottle! We made a few changes this year that we think everyone will like. 4/5 year old preschoolers will be in the Wesley Hall area called the Tide Pool where they will discover more about how Jesus Rescues us. Kindergarten through 5th graders will be in the Sanctuary area called Shipwreck Bay.

Mark your calendars now...June 10th-14th 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m.

Giving Wall
Be sure to check out the Giving Wall behind the Information Desk. There are lots of needs for our upcoming Vacation Bible School posted there. Even if you can't volunteer at VBS, you can be a part by supplying some of these items.

Little Free Pantry
The Little Free Pantry, installed last summer on the west side of our campus, has been a valuable outreach to the Olive Branch community. Not only does is provide non-perishables and hygiene items to those in need, it has been a fulfilling yet easy way those who are 2 to 92 can be the hands and feet of Christ. I have received touching messages of thanks who have benefited from the pantry's items and also the excitement of an MLC parent whose child loves adding an item everyone morning.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact via email.  You're encouraged to sign up to fill the pantry here. Examples of pantry items can include nonperishable foods, toilet paper, diapers, baby food, hygiene products (soap, toothpaste, etc), pet food, & school supplies. (Vitamins, medicine, and razors are discouraged.)

Fifth Annual Skeet Shoot

The United Methodist Men at Maples are generous in their support of mission efforts both inside and outside our walls. From making repairs at Camp Lake Stephens to purchasing equipment for church groups to cooking out for the folks at Candlelite, they are making a difference in our world. One of the ways they finance these projects is through the popular Skeet Shoot each spring. This year's event will be held on Saturday, June 2 at 9:00 a.m. (registration begins at 8:00 a.m.) at 8503 Vaiden Road, Hernando. Cost: $40.00 per adult or $25.00 per youth-breakfast and lunch are provided. Please bring your own shells and gun. For more information or directions, please contact the church(662)895-2279). Registration forms will be included in Sunday bulletins.
