2018 - A Year of Prayer
Each month families will be experiencing different ways of praying for others. In January families with children will be receiving a postcard. On that postcard we ask that you write your name(s) on it and a prayer request. Return your postcard to Rev. Alecia by January 17th and it will be mailed out to a different family so they can pray for you!

Stop Hunger Now Event on March 3
It is time to begin planning and raising funds for our annual Stop Hunger Now packing event on Saturday, March 3 at Maples. We will need volunteers of all ages to help with packing 40,000 plus meals. Another way you can help support this outreach is to donate towards the purchase of the ingredients we will be packaging. The cost of 40,000 meals is $11,600.00 (just 29¢ each). Our mission budget covers $6,000.00 of the total and we need to raise the rest through special gifts. You can bring your offerings to the altar during the last hymn each week at worship.

Grief Share Support Group
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you've probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you've never faced before.

GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements: a video seminar with experts; support group discussion, and personal study and reflection. Please note that this program is only for those who have lost loved ones through death. Dates and times will be announced soon. If you are interested, you can contact David Laird or access the web site at https://www.griefshare.org/.
